San Francisco based accelean North America has steadily built up its operations in South-eastern Florida, a major airline hub and MRO center. Engine and component repair shops in particular are lined-up on all sides of the MIA airport. The engine market is awash with P&W JT8D power plants still commonly used on the ageing MD80 domestic fleet that Airlines are encouraged to keep flying by low oil prices.
Nearing completion of its first performance improvement project with a component support and repair center, operating 3 facilities in the Miami area alone, the accelean NA team is poised for a steady growth in demand for its services in the Sunshine State, fueled by the fast development of the MRO industry in the region. As a result accelean NA is contemplating boosting its resources by hiring consultants locally and taking advantage of Floridans’ bilingual English / Spanish skills for potential projects in Central and South America.
